Applicants in the Investor Class of business immigrants to Québec must have a net worth of at least CDN $800,000. They must as well have two years of experience, in the five years preceding the application date, of managing a business, international agency or government department.

The applicant must also sign an agreement to invest CDN $400,000 for a five year term with a financial intermediary, in Québec, authorized to participate in the Investor Program. A financial intermediary is defined as broker or trust company. This money will be used to finance Québec business assistance programs. The investment will be reimbursed by the broker or trust company, without interest, at the end of the five year term.

Application assessment will also take into consideration other factors such as age, nature and duration of professional training as well as language skills.
